Somatic Wisdom & Nature Based Therapy

Discover how the body and the natural world speak the same language and how this shared language can transform therapeutic work.

About the Training

Webinar Overview

In this experiential workshop, we explore the rich intersection of somatic awareness and nature-based therapy. Rooted in body-based practices and guided by the rhythms, metaphors, and relational wisdom of the natural world, this training invites mental health and wellness professionals to deepen their own embodied presence while learning to integrate these tools into client work skillfully.

You’ll be guided through experiential learning that explores how:

  • Somatic tracking ↔ mirrors tracking nature’s cues (wind, stillness, birdcall)

  • Pendulation ↔ aligns with natural rhythms (ebb/flow, night/day, tides/seasons)

  • Grounding ↔ becomes literal grounding (barefoot walking, resting against a tree

Who Is This For?

This workshop is designed for therapists, coaches, somatic practitioners, outdoor facilitators, and healers interested in integrating body-based and ecological wisdom into their work. It is especially suited for those working with trauma, grief, anxiety, or disconnection from self and nature.

Key Learning Objectives

Through a dynamic blend of guided exercises, case-based learning, group reflection, and somatic-nature practices, you will:

  • Cultivate somatic presence and attunement—in your own body, with your clients, and in relationship with the land.

  • Understand the nervous system through an ecological lens, exploring how environmental and collective systems shape embodied experience.

  • Learn nature-based interventions that support regulation, grounding, and resilience, especially for trauma and anxiety.

  • Engage with nature as co-therapist, honoring the reciprocity between inner and outer landscapes.

  • Reflect on ethical and culturally-aware practices when integrating nature into therapy.
