This immersive day retreat is designed for individuals navigating grief and trauma who seek the restorative power of nature as a healing companion. Grounded in nature-informed therapy, this retreat offers participants a sanctuary to explore their emotional pain, process their loss, and cultivate resilience through guided experiences in the natural world. Tentative Schedule 9:15 am: Arrivals 9:30am-12pm - Introductions, and grounding meditation to help with present moment focus. - Exploring our connections to nature and how nature can support our emotional regulation. Please bring a nature item that has meaning for you. - Understanding trauma and grief and the impact on our nervous systems. New ways to consider trauma and grief healing. Source: It’s Ok That You Are Not Ok. 12-12:30 pm: Lunch with a transition by car to nearby Talmar Nature Center for the experiential portion of the day. 1:00 -3:30pm: We will be outdoors connecting with nature purposefully and with intention. 3:30 pm: Process and Closing Circle 4 pm Workshop concludes Note: Participants will not be invited to share details of personal trauma and grief. While certainly important, we simply do not have enough time to process each individual's circumstances. Please bring your lunch, snacks and a beverage.
