Available spots
Service Description
Join Dr. Heidi Schreiber-Pan, Ph.D., LCPC, for an advanced six-hour training that combines brain-based anxiety treatment with practical nature-informed interventions. Participants will learn how anxiety develops through two primary neurological pathways: automatic, body-based responses originating in the amygdala and cortex-based patterns such as worry, rumination, anticipation, and obsessive thinking. Dr. Schreiber-Pan will translate this neuroscience into clear, client-friendly language and practical treatment strategies. The training will also explore how nature can support nervous-system regulation, reduce stress reactivity, restore attention, and strengthen resilience. Interventions can be adapted for outdoor sessions, traditional offices, and telehealth. Participants will learn to: Distinguish amygdala-based from cortex-based anxiety Help clients understand their anxiety responses Apply breathing, movement, mindfulness, sensory awareness, and exposure strategies Address worry, rumination, and anxiety-producing thoughts Incorporate nature into treatment across clinical settings Help clients use nature as a resource for coping and recovery
