Service Description

The Nature Informed Therapy Foundational Training is a 3-day experiential workshop designed for mental health professionals eager to integrate nature into their therapeutic practices. The course offers 19.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for professional counselors through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC, ACEP No. 7473) and 19.5 clinical continuing education credits for social workers, approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program (Provider 2022, approval period July 9, 2025 – July 9, 2028). Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Participants will explore proven Nature Informed Therapy methods clinically shown to benefit physical and emotional well-being, particularly in treating depression and anxiety. The workshop provides an overview of significant research findings, techniques for assessing clients for nature-informed therapy, and practical guidance on selecting appropriate locations and therapeutic approaches. Attendees will also receive a Starter Kit to launch their own nature-informed therapy practice.
