Food Allergies & Dietary Needs Because this program takes place in a remote backcountry setting, meals are prepared in small cook groups of 3–4 participants. For safety, simplicity, and group logistics, CNIT is generally only able to accommodate vegetarian meals. We may be able to support additional dietary needs only when participants with similar needs can be placed in the same cook group and the accommodation is practical in a backcountry setting. Participants with food allergies, sensitivities, or medically necessary dietary restrictions should contact us before registering so we can talk through what is realistic. We care deeply about participant safety and inclusion, and we also want to be honest about the limits of small-group wilderness programming.
