About the Program
The Foundational Nature Informed Therapy Training is CNIT's signature entry-point program, designed for two parallel audiences in one shared cohort: mental health professionals seeking clinical CE credits, and a broader group of educators, healthcare providers, corporate wellness leaders, and community helpers ready to bring nature into their work.
Over this immersive program, you will explore the theoretical foundations of nature-informed therapy, learn evidence-based interventions, and practice applying these tools in real settings. Whether your goal is to enhance your therapeutic toolkit or to align your professional practice more fully with the natural world, this training meets you where you are.
What you will learn:
• Theoretical Knowledge: Core principles of Nature Informed Therapy grounded in research from ecopsychology, biophilia, and attention restoration theory
• Practical Skills: Nature-based techniques you can apply in clinical sessions or professional settings the moment you return home
• Transformative Approach: How to invite the natural world into your work as an active partner in healing
• Personal Growth: Direct experience with the practices you will eventually offer to others, deepening both your craft and your own well-being
Mental health professionals earn 19.5 CE credits. Non-clinical professionals receive a CNIT Certificate of Completion recognizing their training in nature-informed practice. Both groups join CNIT's growing alumni community and gain access to ongoing support resources.
This foundational program also serves as the gateway to CNIT's Certification Mentorship pathway and Advanced Trainings, for practitioners ready to continue building expertise.
Step outside the office. Bring the wisdom of the natural world into the work you love.
