About the Program
A two-part online lunch-and-learn with Dr. Heidi Schreiber-Pan, Ph.D., LCPC
Founder and Executive Director, Center for Nature Informed Therapy
Winter can bring welcome quiet, but also shifts in mood, energy, and connection. In this interactive series, we’ll explore ways to meet the darker season with greater care and flexibility. Drawing on nature-informed therapy, Katherine May’s Wintering, and the practices of hygge and friluftsliv, Heidi will offer practical ideas for finding steadiness through the colder months.
Part 1 | Preparing for the Darker Season
Monday, November 9, 2026 | 12:00–1:00 p.m. Eastern
Explore how seasonal change can affect us and consider three winter strategies: rest, adaptation, and moving toward the resources we need. You’ll leave with a small winter ritual to try.
Part 2 | Wintering Well
Tuesday, January 12, 2027 | 12:00–1:00 p.m. Eastern
Check in with your experience of winter so far. We’ll look more closely at the psychology of rest, the meaning of “wintering” during difficult seasons of life, and gentle ways to seek light, movement, and connection.
Each 60-minute Zoom session includes a 45-minute presentation with brief reflection and group-share opportunities, followed by 15 minutes of conversation. You’re welcome to attend either session or both.
Suggested donation: $20 per session or $35 for the series. Give what you can; all are welcome. Proceeds will benefit CNIT's scholarship fund.
